About the Photo: Finally we had a better day in York today, and leaving all the planned work to the side, I decided to go out and take some pictures, at least enough to process and post (I hope) until the next window of opportunity. I have seen these performers in York a few years ago as well (in fact bought their CDs then!), and today they were performing at the centre again, and selling their new album, which I didn't buy (credit crunch has hit me too you know :P ). It was towards the end of the day so the square was under the shadow so I had to use flash and go quite close to get any nice picture, and this I think is the best of the bunch that I managed to get. I have cropped this image to make it a better portrait of this performer, which I hope you all like too. I wish I was there earlier to capture them in good lighting - their traditional dresses were absolutely brilliant, and you can see a bit from the colours and feathers.
