About the Photo: This picture was taken in colour but somehow I liked the greyscaled version better so posting this version here. The dark trees at the back are all Shea Trees and the water on the foreground is the larger dam (there is another smaller one) in the village where I was conducting this year's household survey for my research. By the way, the dam here really means a kind of local reservoir, and not a properly constructed dam. But they do serve as a invaluable source of water, especially in the dry season. It was a very bright but cloudy day and the water was also not clear so the original image in colour isn't much different in a way (but definitely not better than this one) :)
