- About the Photo: Not entirely happy with this photo but since I went all the way up the hill to see the (remains of) Scarborough castle, I though I should put this up anyway. Castle ruins in the foreground with the North Sea in the background.

I differ with your view on this picture.. the only thing that came to my mind on seeing it was ” If ruins looked so beautiful then who would want to know what the castle looked like”…. maybe the backdrop, or the rays of the sun on the bricks forming that which orginally must have been a wall, those two window like structures..there..its like seeing beauty in the dead…..I just noticed the shadows on the entrance of the castle, or that of the railing there..its SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL
