About the Photo: Another photograph from my Delhi trip. This is the picture of King George V Memorial - in the foreground, with the India gate in the background. According to our tour guide, and what I read in a guide book, the statue of King George V, which used to be within these pillars was removed and taken to London after India gained independence! And, India Gate used to be called All India War Memorial (according to what I read in the same guide book as well!). One more fact - the area around India Gate is mostly closed for the public, apparently because of the many shootings of Bollywood movies here!
