Decided to re-start blogging on a self-hosted domain again. WordPress.com just didn’t provide the flexibility that I wanted. So here I am in a different domain, different setup – but hopefully will be more regular in my “reflections”. I start with a picture of a flower that I captured at home in Nepal when I was there a few weeks ago.
Why change the name of the blog? Well, for the start I’m still not sure whether to continue the other blog, random jottings…, as it is, which I probably will do. That is a place where I post anything and everything, whereas I want this blog to be more personal, and also more focussed on issues closer to my heart. Moreover, I want to (re)start proper writing again here, which I haven’t been doing for a while now, post entries that read well (hopefully) and give readers something to reflect upon too. I will re-post some of the earlier entries from the rj… here, properly written and thoughtful entries – which will make this blog less empty to start with, but will also give some idea to the readers on what I write about, and what might come here in future.
What I hope is to come up with one good entry in a week here, which I hope is not too ambitious (given that I haven’t been writing properly for months now, it may seem ambitious but I am an optimist, and hoping I could come up with something this coming weekend
). And to give an indication of the entries to come here in the weeks ahead, I’m working on a couple of entries on people who recently passed away, on my trip to Nepal recently, of coming towards the end of (formal) student life, and so on.
Will be back soon!
...on life, and much much more!
